Privacy policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026Enotely is an AI notebook and tutor for classrooms. Teachers add class materials, students ask questions grounded in those materials, and teachers see anonymous insights about what the class found difficult. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
Account details (name, email, role, school). Class content teachers upload — slides, notes, syllabi, lesson recordings. Student conversations with the notebook. Basic usage data like sign-in times and feature use. A lesson recording may capture students’ voices as well as the teacher’s; recordings are used only to answer questions about that lesson.
How we use it
To answer student questions from the sources their teacher chose, to turn questions into anonymous class-level insights for teachers, to keep accounts secure, and to improve Enotely. We do not sell personal information and we do not show ads.
AI processing
Conversations and class sources are processed by OpenAI to generate answers. Our agreement with OpenAI does not permit your content to be used to train their models. Answers are grounded in class sources, not the open internet.
Student privacy
Enotely is for students aged 13 and up; younger students may not create accounts. Schools choose whether the insights teachers see are anonymous or attributed to named students. That setting is made at the school level, not by individual teachers; anonymous is the default, and students are told which mode their class is in. Where a school adopts Enotely, we process student data on the school’s instructions and support its obligations under applicable education-privacy laws.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us run Enotely (hosting, AI processing) under contracts that limit their use of it, or when the law requires. Never with advertisers or data brokers.
Retention and deletion
Schools choose how long their data is kept. Account holders and school administrators can export or delete their data at any time; when an account or school contract ends, data is deleted on the schedule the school set.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your information. Email abdul.fatir3@gmail.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll tell account holders by email before the change takes effect.
